About Dr Robert Sandlin

Dr. Sandlin heads up the Athens Eye Clinic. Dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of vision and diseases of the human eye, in a friendly and caring environment.

Since starting private practice in Athens in 1985, he has seen over twenty thousand patients. Each year he attends continuing education courses to remain current with the latest advancements in medical eye care.'

Services

The office of Dr.Sandlin provides medical treatment for most eye diseases. Treating from common eye infections and Glaucoma treatment, to Laser eye surgery, LASIK, to correct nearsighted, farsighted, and astigmatic conditions and pre- and post-operative care for cataract surgery.

Dr. Sandlin received a Bachelor of Science from UAB majoring in physics. An Honors Program led to his Master of Science at UAB. And was awaded his Doctor of Optometry from the medical center at UAB.

Training

Passed national boards with extensive testing in eye disease, vision science and pharmacology. Dr. Sandlin is licensed to practice in Alabama and Tennessee.
